A Meal Meets Hunger.

The Gospel Changes Hearts.

(THAT’S 5 YEARS!)
SERVING 600,000+ TOTAL LBS
OF FOOD TO HUNGRY NEIGHBORS

277 WEEKS

You can help secure 52 weeks of food and gospel hope for struggling neighbors like Tanya.

For two years, Tanya has come to Greenhouse Project’s Food Outreach on Tuesdays with gratitude and a quiet strength.

Through that simple weekly rhythm, she built a meaningful friendship with volunteer Mary Lou—one marked by regular prayer and authentic check-ins.

Over time, we learned Tanya was carrying a heavy burden as the sole caregiver for her hospitalized mom who’s in her end-of-life season, all while lacking reliable transportation to visit, with no other help.

Because our ministry team took time to notice, care, and stay connected, Greenhouse Project is now providing scheduled rides so Tanya can be with her mom during this difficult season.

This is what Food Outreach makes possible:

Care that goes beyond the meal, connected relationships that grow with time, and hope that meets people in real-life struggles.

VIDEO MESSAGE

Hear from Pastor Donny Martin

The consistency of showing up every Tuesday year-round over five years matters to neighbors in need. Food Outreach demonstrates that living out the gospel is not just something preached at gatherings—the gospel is how we live, daily.

Watch this message from Donny on how this leads to life change for our neighbors!

When I came off the street, I had nothing.
I was able to eat because of this outreach.

Now, I give my food to recovery house men who don’t have. If not for Greenhouse Project, I’d be completely broke...
This has saved me.

— Richard | mid-70’s, retired, former addict, serves at Food Outreach

Will you prayerfully consider feeding the hungry this Easter season?

Right now, resurrection hope is meant to reach the lost and overlooked people right in our neighborhoods.

The impoverished.

The single moms stuck in survival mode.

The recovery men rebuilding their life.

The youth watching what faith in action looks like.

Over 150 families rely on the Food Outreach ministry atmosphere for hope—now more than ever with economic instability.

Feed the Faith is an invite to stand in the gap, ensuring the gospel continues meeting needs in 2026. Today, you can help us raise $35,000 by April 10 to cover expenses like food costs, delivery truck rental, drivers, fuel and supplies.

Here’s how your gift today is put to work:

  • $1,400 sponsors two weeks of Food Outreach

  • $700 sponsors one week of Food Outreach

  • $325 covers a week of driving, truck rental, fuel

  • $125 provides one week of truck rental and fuel

  • $50 provides 185 meals (Just $0.27 for a 1.2 lb meal)

With the economy, Food Outreach helps put food on my table.

I love the people coming together. The prayer. The vegetables, snacks, juice. All of it helps—thank you!

OUR COMMITMENT

Every gift grows ministry reach

One of the most inspiring aspects of Food Outreach is how God has knit together several ministry pillars in this space. From Homework Club youth who love to drop in to recovery residents who give their own time here… God has multiplied!

HOMEWORK CLUB YOUTH

Our club kids have grown to love Food Outreach when not in school as a safe place to drop by, lend a hand serving neighbors, and feel connected to something meaningful.

MEN IN RECOVERY

Food Outreach bridges the gap for our recovery residents, esp in the first 14 days after move-in. They arrive with nearly zero personal items, and grow to love this space where they choose to serve.

VOLUNTEER CULTURE

Food Outreach is one of the easiest, low-commitment ways to participate in what God is doing here in Chester. Give two hours of your time, meet other servants like you, love our neighbors. Rinse & repeat.

Fresh food here is the best. People are provided for, not having to choose food over medication.

I used to spend almost all limited income on groceries, even at Dollar Store. I can afford bills now.

The best part? Friends I’ve made here…
we look out for each other.

 FAQ

  • Yes, we’re a registered 501C(3) charity. All donations receive a tax receipt. You can donate securely through our online donation page. If you have any questions about your donation or would like to make a special investment, please email info@ghproject.org.

  • We observe and hear directly from neighbors that our community is hurting and struggling with daily challenges. Hardships include drug and alcohol addiction, violence, food insecurity, abuse and trauma, unemployment, homelessness, education fallout, and lack of access to practical resources that end these cycles.

  • In fiscal year 2023, 80% of our funding went to program expenses, which covers addiction recovery counseling, outreach events, after school education, church, teaching supplies, and staff. We rely completely on funds that come from individual supporters, church partnerships, and local businesses who champion our mission.

  • Lasting transformation only happens in a community where lives are shared. Many development programs meet urgent needs and aid those in crisis. Although practical support helps, this alone does not create long-term healing and change. Our model goes far beyond handouts or short-term programming. Greenhouse Project is distinguished by living life side-by-side with the people we serve to build long-term, Christ-like relationships that promote positive, lasting change.

  • We always welcome volunteers with a heart for people in broken areas like Chester. Everyone knows this is a tough place to live—you can be a light for our neighbors. Come meet the people you are impacting for a few hours! Serving at Food Outreach is the easiest, low-commitment way to volunteer.

Other ideas? Consider joining an upcoming prayer walk, homework club, trash clean-up day, or Sunday church. Volunteer for a day or become a regular… you decide the commitment level.

Please share Greenhouse Project with friends to keep the momentum growing!
