We’re Moving! Vance Family Missionary Update

A Weekend Away: Pressing Toward the Prize
Here’s a recap of the depth and impact that came from a weekend away speaking, leading and doing life with a large group of pastors, youth group students, and men from Greenhouse recovery programs to America’s Keswick in New Jersey for their late-fall, annual Delaware Valley Men’s Conference.

A Donor Story from the Wichard’s
There are moments when you hear someone speak about a mission—and you just know it’s not theoretical. It’s personal.
It’s lived. It’s rooted in truth that has changed real lives. Read how longtime Greenhouse Project supporters John and Krystal Wichard talk about this ministry from their own relatable journey.
Meet Andrew: “This Week Changed Everything for Me”
When we sat down this summer with Andrew, it was clear that God has him on a powerful healing journey that runs several generations deep. Andrew shares some graphic trauma with the kind of honesty that paves the way for bold change in his life, and the lives around him. Holding nothing back, learn how Andrew sees his first week at Greenhouse as the “week that changed everything.”
Help Wrap Christmas in Love for Men in Recovery
For many of our closest neighbors the magic of Christmas feels more like barely making it. In generous Greenhouse style, we’re going big this Christmas holiday to bless those who can’t afford to put gifts under the tree… those who never ask for anything: under-resourced Homework club kids and siblings, their parents, men living in our Recovery Homes.
Identity, Redemption & Radical Generosity
Earlier this year, we invited longtime supporters John & Crystal Wichard to share why they choose to invest in the ministry work at Greenhouse. Their story floored us — not because of eloquence alone, but because of how closely their “why” aligns with the heart of our mission. Watch a special video where they share the message themselves.
Help Multiply Meals This Thanksgiving
In Chester, food insecurity has always been a quiet crisis — but this November, it’s turning into an emergency. As SNAP (EBT) benefits are being cut off or paused, low-income neighbors are facing a holiday season where anything extra is simply out of reach. Just as Jesus used his disciples to multiply food for thousands, we are asking supporters to help us do the same this Thanksgiving Food Box Drive.
Meet Matt: Walking in Freedom at Greenhouse Recovery
From prison to purpose: Matt came to Greenhouse Recovery broken, but through Christ-centered love, counseling, and community he found freedom—and now he helps lead 100+ others like him into belonging, healing, and transformation.
Lisa’s Legacy: A Living Sacrifice
Each early October, I reflect on the great impact of Lisa Merideth’s life in honor of her legacy. She may be with the Lord, but her impact continues to live on.
Dreaming BIG for our NEW HQ
There’s nothing quite like your first pair of seriously cool sneakers as a teen. The feeling of being unstoppable, catching big air, and mastery of new tricks. Before we know it, we’ve outgrown the shoes! What has us reflecting on cool sneakers here at Greenhouse Project? Take a peek!
Pray for Max
Five years ago, my son Max was diagnosed with Peutz-Jeghers syndrome (PJS) when two polyps were discovered in his intestine. As PJS is a serious and rare disorder, here’s how you can join us in faith, prayer and love for Max as my wife Emily and I navigate his latest major procedure this weekend.
Maria’s Lights Went Out — But Compassion Turned Them Back On
Our neighbor Maria is the kind of person everyone wants nearby — kind, generous, never asking for help. But when her electricity was shut off, her family sat in the dark. This is the story of how compassion turned the lights back on, and how you can be part of it.
A Summer of Salvations, Baptisms, and Growth — Here’s What’s Next
While most people think of summer as a time to slow down, relax, and take vacations, for us here at Greenhouse, we see it as the start of a brand-new year of ministry. Summer is the time when things really come alive, and this season was no different! Here’s a recap of all God did in the past three months.

An Outdoor Sanctuary in the Heart of Chester
Here at Greenhouse, creating an outdoor sanctuary has been a dream. Literally. God showed us YEARS AGO that people in Chester would openly gather on the streets to proclaim His name… and here we are!
Greenhouse Project Turns 5!
Five years feels significant. Though our ministry is still young, we can no longer say it’s just begun… And what a full five years it’s been! In 2020 when we first opened our doors at Greenhouse Project, many churches and ministries were shutting their doors. Here’s a reflection on how God has moved mightily!
Celebrating the Life of a Faithful Volunteer, Serena Lockett
A faithful Food Outreach volunteer, Serena Lockett, went home to be with the Lord on May 29th. Born and raised in Chester, Serena lived just down the block from our ministry with her husband of 43 years. When I think of someone who has made a lasting impact on Greenhouse Project, Serena immediately comes to mind.
