John Clifford, President and Pastor of Greenhouse Project, has led a 20-year culinary career at some of the best Philly restaurants specializing in classical French techniques with imaginative style and flavor profiles.

John has helped establish local programs that train up men in recovery with cooking and leadership skills, and served thousands of homeless free gourmet meals with restaurant-level service.

After hosting several private tasting dinners at his own home as a way to connect with friends and Greenhouse Project supporters, the idea became clear to offer a truly special experience for those ready to partner with our ministry.

Guests receive the very best culinary experience possible while learning the story of how Greenhouse Project has grown to make great impact in Chester.

WHAT TO KNOW

The Serre Chef's Table is a private event fundraiser designed to serve eight guests. Guests enjoy a nine course tasting menu where each dish is just a few delicious bites.

It is hosted on select dates booked in advance. Guests can expect a 2 1/2 hour experience and are encouraged to arrive hungry as the gastronomic experience is carefully curated and sure to impress.

donations

All Greenhouse Project programs and outreach projects are donor supported. While there is no specific financial ask of guests, the cost to Greenhouse for hosting Serre is $1,400 per table or $175 per guest.

Usually one donor would sponsor the table and invite guests that would generously support our programs in Chester. After hosting several meals to perfect the guest experience, we found that a comfortable donation ranges between $500-2,500+ to support our mission.

Serre is a unique way to combine one of the best dining out experiences with a direct contribution to a local community in need. Come see and hear the impact you are making while partnering with us over a meal you’ll never forget!

We do our best to accommodate mild allergies but cannot guarantee a nut, dairy, gluten or allergen-free environment given the complexity of our menu. Please review the sample menu and let us know of any allergies. We are able to swap proteins or accommodate if we know in advance.

We live in Chester with street parking only. We advise against leaving any valuables in your car and cannot be held responsible for any lost or stolen items.
