Put a holiday meal on the table for 200 hungry families
My longtime friend and neighbor Fred stopped me in my tracks when I asked what his hopes are for Thanksgiving:
“I'm not going to celebrate the holidays this year, I just cant afford it.”
Fred, a regular at Food Outreach, shares the free fresh food and dry goods he brings home on Tuesdays with his wife, children, and grandkids. He says it’s harder than ever to make ends meet.
Daily life is “survival mode” for neighbors like Fred
Fred and his loved ones are among so many families living on the poverty line, struggling to make ends meet, facing food scarcity as a "normal" part of daily life right now in Chester.
Celebrating Thanksgiving with a huge meal shared with friends and family, something so traditional for us, is simply out of reach for most families here.

By Monday, Nov. 24, we’re raising $10,000 to provide complete Thanksgiving meals for Chester families facing a hard holiday season.
Many of our neighbors are looking at empty cupboards, stretched budgets, and tables that need hope. Together, we can show up with food, dignity, and the love of Christ.
Just $50 provides a turkey + food box for one family.
A THANKSGIVING MEAL TO ONE OR MANYEvery donation of $50 provides a full meal of a turkey, fresh sides and a pie.
What else? It brings the hope of a holiday meal shared around a table, with prayer and gratitude, instead of hunger and worry.
