A Summer of Salvations, Baptisms, and Growth — Here’s What’s Next
While most people think of summer as a time to slow down, relax, and take vacations, for us here at Greenhouse, we see it as the start of a brand-new year of ministry. Summer is the time when things really come alive, and this season was no different!
In just the last three months, ministry highlights include:
Hosted 3 incredible community BBQs
Celebrated 14 baptisms
Witnessed 20 professions of faith
Sent 10 students to summer camp
Donated 150 backpacks to local students
Organized a basketball camp for 12 students
Helped restore our city by cleaning up trash in Highland Gardens
Launched ONE WAY, our brand-new youth group
And on top of that, church fellowship met every Sunday, Monday night recovery meetings didn’t miss a week, Tuesday food outreach continued, discipleship groups gathered together on Wednesdays, and our small team met with more than 35 men for recovery counseling each week.
Truly, this is why we exist: to create opportunities where people can hear about salvation through Jesus Christ.
Every ministry moment captured in this “shortlist” is worth celebrating, and we sincerely thank you for sowing into Greenhouse with time and resources that helped multiply this fruit. God is so faithful!
As we turn our attention to fall and all that’s ahead, here’s just one story I’ll never forget…
One young Chester girl showed up to the very first cookout and began asking questions about baptism. I wasn’t sure where she stood in her faith, so I encouraged her to stick around for the rest of the evening, pray and read the Bible, and come back to talk more. I said that if she was serious about giving her life to Jesus Christ, I’d baptize her at the next gathering.
Well, she did come back but not right away.
For a month she wrestled with the Lord until she knew beyond a doubt that she wanted to give her whole life to Jesus. And when she returned, she made a bold profession of faith and followed Him in baptism.
Her decision is nothing short of total and complete heart transformation. We got to witness God change her life right before our eyes!
These are the eternal encounters that energize us for the work ahead.
Speaking of what’s next, here’s a glance at what’s coming this fall!

We’re so excited for all that God has in store. From the very beginning of Greenhouse Project, five years ago, it was clear that He was stirring something new and powerful and unique. Today, we’re witnessing it firsthand: lives being changed and genuine spiritual growth taking root in our community.
