Making Back-to-School Season a Celebration!

It’s hard to believe—but we’re getting ready to kick off Year 5 of Homework Club! What started as a small group of kids learning and laughing together after school has now grown into a full-blown movement of faith, friendship, and future-shaping.

We’re seeing so much momentum this year:

• One Way Youth, our brand-new youth group for teens, is taking off

• Sunday gatherings are bursting at the seams with kids

• New families are joining us every week

And right now? We have an amazing opportunity to bless our students big-time as they head back to school.

📚 The Mission: Equip 150 Kids with Backpacks + Supplies by August 23

We want every child in our community to start the year confident, celebrated, and equipped. But the truth is, many families in our neighborhood can’t afford brand-new school supplies.

So here’s the plan:

On Sunday, August 25, we’re hosting a Back-to-School Community Event—a joyful day of food, games, connection, and support. Families can come enjoy hamburgers, hotdogs, bouncy houses, a gaming truck (!)—and walk away with a free backpack filled with quality school supplies.

But we can’t do this without you.

Our pre-made supplies list is full of back-to-school items you can shop to donate exactly what you want towards backpacks. It also has items for Homework Club that meets all school year. Items range from craft supplies, books, math activity books, fun games and toys, and even a few electronics.

All of these are selected with the kids in mind to teach them, engage with them, and keep them occupied in a safe, joy-filled environment. Items are auto-delivered to Greenhouse Project headquarters. Our Amazon business account is tax exempt, which helps us stretch every dollar to steward God’s resources!

Whether it’s tutoring at Homework Club, helping at outreach events, leading worship, or joining our Sunday Children’s ministry team—we need more hands and hearts.
