From Farm to Family: Harvest Seasonal Grill Partners with Greenhouse Project

This November, a popular local restaurant is taking hospitality beyond its dining room—and bringing it straight to families in our Greenhouse community.

Harvest Seasonal Grill & Wine Bar has selected Greenhouse Project as a local community partner for GIVE. LOVE. SERVE., a new initiative designed to support families experiencing food insecurity or financial hardship.

Through the program, Harvest’s Glen Mills team will prepare chef-made dinners for two local families connected to Greenhouse Project, giving each family dinner for 4-5 consecutive nights.

That means an entire workweek free from added grocery expenses, meal planning, shopping, or the daily question: “What are we having for dinner tonight?”

And sometimes, that kind of practical relief matters more than we realize.

Good Food. Good Neighbors.

The campaign is built around Harvest’s message, “Farm to Family” and seeks to build connections between patrons and their fellow community neighbors.

Harvest Seasonal Grill already works with local and regional farmers and purveyors to bring thoughtfully prepared food to its restaurants.

GIVE. LOVE. SERVE. extends that philosophy into the surrounding community by using the resources Harvest already has—its chefs, kitchens, ingredients, and hospitality—to care for local families.

Across participating Harvest locations in Pennsylvania and New Jersey, chefs will prepare 40 family dinners representing approximately 160 individual portions throughout November.

Greenhouse Project is grateful to be one of the organizations helping connect that generosity directly with families who can benefit from it.

Helping Without Putting Families in the Spotlight

One detail about this partnership especially resonates with us: families receiving meals are not being asked to share their stories, appear in photographs, or participate in publicity.

There is no application process through Harvest and no expectation for families to explain why they need support.

Instead, community organizations like Greenhouse Project—already walking alongside local families—help quietly connect the gift with neighbors who could use a little extra support.

It’s a simple idea, but a meaningful one: meet a real need while honoring the dignity of the people being served, a shared value that runs throughout Greenhouse ministry.

An Invitation for Harvest Guests

Throughout the campaign, guests at participating Harvest locations will also have an opportunity to support the nonprofits serving their local community.

At the Glen Mills location, diners will be able to learn more about Greenhouse Project and give directly in support of the ongoing work happening here in Chester.
